Amanda Johnson currently serves as the Supervisor of Sport Psychology at the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago(SPORTT). Alongside her impactful role at SPORTT, she is also a part-time lecturer at the University of the West Indies. As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), awarded by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), Amanda brings unparalleled expertise to the field of sport psychology. With her comprehensive experience and practical application in enhancing athletic performance through mental strategies, she has firmly established herself as a trusted expert in enhancing athletic performance through psychological development.
Amanda’s career highlights include guiding numerous national teams and athletes, from juniors to seniors, through prestigious competitions such as the Pan American Games, CAC Games, CARIFTA, and World Championships. She also extended her impact beyond SPORTT as a Mental Skills Coach for Cricket West Indies, previously contributing significantly to age-group teams and the senior women’s squad. In addition, she is an alumni of the Global Sports Mentoring program held by the US Department of State, ESPN W and University of Tennessee Centre for Sport and Peace.
Beyond her professional achievements, Amanda’s personal mission centers on fostering a supportive environment where athletes and non-athletes alike can cultivate excellence in sports and life through holistic psychological development.
